The short version
CVTemplate.ie has no accounts, no sign-up and no database of users. We do not collect, store or sell personal data. Everything you type into the CV builder is processed in your own browser and never sent to our servers.
What happens to what you type
The CV details you enter (saved only in your own browser) stay on your device. Where the site offers to remember your work between visits, that data is kept in your browser’s local storage only, and clearing your browser data removes it. We have no copy and no way to see it.
Analytics
We use two measurement tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. Google Analytics 4 shows us how pages and calculators are used: which tool you open, whether you change the inputs, how long the page stays open. Google Analytics sets cookies only if you consent in the Google consent window shown to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland (the same window that covers advertising, see below). If you decline, it runs without cookies and does not recognise you between visits. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical logs (IP addresses, request data) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) let Google and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, a consent window lets you accept or decline this before any personalised ads load; you can change your choice at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or of some third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info. If advertising is shown on this site in future, the advertising partner and any consent choices will be described here first, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to or restrict its processing. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). This site keeps no personal data on our servers, so in practice this concerns the analytics described above; email us and we will help.
